How to report a copyright or trademark complaint, and how we handle takedown requests.
01
Our commitment
Muqira Technologies respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our Services to do the same. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright or trademark, and how we handle such reports.
02
Filing a copyright complaint
If you believe content hosted, generated, or transmitted through a Muqira product infringes your copyright, send a written notice to [email protected] including: • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g. a URL, workflow ID, or specific content reference) • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf • Your physical or electronic signature Incomplete notices may delay processing. We may forward your complaint, including your contact details, to the user who posted the material, as required by law in some jurisdictions.
03
What happens after a valid notice
On receipt of a complete and valid notice, we will act promptly to remove or disable access to the identified material. Where the affected user is an Muqira account holder, we will notify them of the takedown and their right to submit a counter-notice. Repeat infringers — accounts that receive multiple valid, unrebutted infringement notices — may have their accounts suspended or terminated at our discretion.
04
Counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to [email protected] including: • Identification of the material removed and its location before removal • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (or, where you are located in the United States, consent to federal district court jurisdiction and acceptance of service from the original complainant) • Your physical or electronic signature We may restore the material after a reasonable waiting period unless the original complainant informs us they have filed a legal action.
05
AI-generated content and third-party rights
Some Muqira features generate content using third-party AI models based on your input. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any input (text, images, files) to these features, and for how you use the output — see our AI Use Policy for further detail on copyright considerations specific to AI-generated content.
06
Trademark complaints
Trademark complaints (e.g. unauthorised use of a brand name or logo) should also be sent to [email protected] with similar identifying detail: the mark, the registration (if any), the allegedly infringing use, and your contact information.
